Thanks to the generous support of one of our members, ASR is proud to AUCTION one of three DREAM VACATIONS!

Each package will cover lodging in a Wyndham Suite Accommodation for between five and six nights — a value of up to $3,000.00. ONE HIGHEST BIDDER will get to pick the trip package of their choosing! Auction proceeds will benefit the restoration of American Freedom Train No. 250.

Package No. 1: LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

Two-bedroom suite with kitchen, 5 nights.

Package No. 2: ORLANDO, FLORIDA

Two-bedroom suite with kitchen, 5 nights.

Package No. 3: DURANGO, COLORADO

One-bedroom suite with kitchenette, 6 nights.

General Auction Information

  • The live auction will open on December 12, 2025 at 8:00 am EST, and end on December 14 at 12:00 pm EST.

  • The auction is for the Wyndham Timeshare accommodation only. Winner is responsible for costs of travel, incidentals used at the resort, resort taxes, parking, food, beverages, tours, entertainment, supplies, damages caused by guests if any, etc., and to follow resort policies (i.e., dirty dishes in dishwasher and garbage emptied before checking out).

  • The trip dates need to be reserved and taken between January 1 and June 30, 2026.

  • At least one person in the group must be 25 years of age or older. Reservation will be entered in the name and contact of the person who will be personally checking in.

  • The bidding will start at $800, with increments of $25.

  • Each package has an approximate retail value of $2,000 to $3,000, depending on the location and number of nights.

  • If the winning bidder is unable to take the trip due to notifying American Steam Railroad, prior to payment, of incompatible dates based on availability, the winner may cancel their winning bid. The next highest bidder will then be the declared auction winner with the same allowances made.

  • Once payment is made, the accommodation reservation will be confirmed. Winner has 5 days to make payment via Zeffy auction, PayPal, or on a credit/debit card as a Custom Donation Amount at www.americansteamrailroad.org/donate.

  • The non-refundable auction sale is considered final once payment is made.
